You need to recognise that you have died once. You died with Christ when He hung on the cross. In the legal documents of heaven that was exactly what happened once you believe it was for your sins that He died. You also need to believe He is God because it is by being God that his death can handle the wrath of the Eternal Father against the sin of man (John 3:36, Romans 1:18, 1Thessalonians 5:9), fully satisfying the demands of divine retribution directed against Man‘s sin (John 1:29). Only God can satisfy God, only the perfect can satisfy the perfect.
Only the one whose dimension of existence is eternal can make sufficiently make provision for billions from all ethnic groups to be saved.
Death by proxy means someone else died, by it was legally recognised that it is you who died, and with the added advantage of dying with someone who can rise from the dead, giving us a two-pronged advantage of having someone else die for our sins and be able to enjoy rising up in power, also by proxy.
What this means is that Christ that “cannot die,” being God, died by carrying our sins and we who cannot on our own be alive to God became so by sharing by proxy the resurrection of Jesus unto our justification/glorification (Romans 4:25, 8:30).
Your role now is to believe in him; believe in his divinity, his sacrifice, that you need him and should depend on him to bring you as part of lost humanity back in a relationship with God as his child. Jesus Christ by his sacrifice made all the difference, blessed be his name.
Your part now is to walk in the reality of the resurrection, with a new sense of identity, a new capacity to function in the spiritual realm and be as light in the world. It’s not about how you feel, it in the document in heaven that you died with Christ and rose up with him and by that singular act you are perfected forever (Hebrews 10:14). Everything that went missing with Adam is restored in Christ, because you died in Him by proxy (Romans 5:15-21). Because in him humanity has a second and last chance of reconciliation with God..
By rising up with him, he became our life. He is the very life you live. That definitely makes you different. That’s why you think differently, because you run by another life, the very life of God. That is why you are God’s; you run on his software; you function along with his dictates; you are programmed with a new code and run on his own command sequence.
You died by proxy, you also live by proxy, Christ is alive in you, since the text says you are dead, therefore having no life of your own to live. That is your new reality you must embrace.
Question: what does the death of Christ mean to you?
prayer activity: Lord let me be more alive to you day by day
