Blessing from God’s house

Joel 3:18:  “And in that day the mountains shall drip sweet wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the streambeds of Judah shall flow with water; and a fountain shall come forth from the house of the LORD and water the Valley of Shittim.

A fountain, that verse said, shall come forth from the House of God. It is something that the house of God would supply. The true church as God’s building fulfils this, as outlined by scriptures.

Paul said the church is the pillar and ground of truth (1Timothy 3:15), as prophesied by Isaiah that out of the house of the will go forth the word of the Lord. And that would become the attraction (Isaiah 2:1-3).

The truth, that the church is the custodian of, is its value. The revelation of Jesus Christ, the soon coming King, makes the church special. The church is a big educational institution where the knowledge of God is dispensed. And any attempt to change the church from this, replacing it with rituals and various other social fixtures represents satanic incursions, at making the church serve its own purpose rather than God’s, that is the recipe for an impotent church.

Paul told Timothy to preach the word, in season and out of season (2Timothy 4:2). That is why the ability to teach is one of the characteristic of a leader in the church, highlighting a basic function of the church as the place for the word of truth to flow from. To this end, when Jesus was leaving the earth, he gave the instruction that all disciples that would believe in him must be taught to observe the life of Christ (Matthew 28:19-20).

When Jesus was alive, he was called a rabbi, because he was marked out by the flurry of his teaching. People flock around him many times to hear his teachings. That was a major part of his mission on the earth.

When praying to God, close to his death, he told the father that He has given the disciples the words He wanted them to give Him (John 17:8).

The word of God is the divine raw material. It saves the soul (James 1:21). The most important kind of knowledge is the knowledge of God, relevant for time and eternity. Those who know their God would be strong and do exploits (Daniel 11:32).

Knowing God is the number one priority to the Christian (Philippians 3:8-10), it was the number one priority of Jesus’ mission of the earth (John 17:6). Jesus even said, “This is eternal life that they may know you the only true God (John 17:3);” meaning that the purpose of eternal life is to know God.

What flows from the house of God is the word of God

Another thing that flows from the church of God is the grace and its counterpart, the power of God. They are two sides of a coin; the grace of God enables those who are for God while the power of God disables those who are against him. These things flow from the house of God. The devil could sometimes mimic the power as the experience of Moses and the magicians of Pharaoh showed (Exodus 7:11), but he cannot mimic grace except you don’t know that grace is.

Jesus is the source of all the flows of God from the church. He is said to be full of grace and truth (divine instruction) God (John 1:14).

And the church is the body of Christ (Colossians 1:24); therefore it flows with truth and grace.

The church is the centre of grace. Paul said that we are no longer under the law but under grace therefore sin shall no longer over dominion over you (Romans 6:14). Though Satan exhibits lying wonders, evidently he cannot produce the life of God, cannot mimic the nature of God.

It was the very nature of God that His grace exhibits in you because that was what went amiss in the Garden of Eden; the nature/image of God imparted to man at creation went amiss, but   Jesus we can partake of that very nature of God by his grace (1Peter 1:1-4).

The flow of grace from the house of God is for the empowerment for the people of God. All manifestations of the character of God and service in the kingdom are both of his grace. You cannot really serve God without his grace,

Paul acknowledges that it is the grace of God that was responsible for all his achievements in the kingdom (1Corinthians 15:10, Ephesians 3:7-8). God calls you to serve him, he trains you for it, enables you to do it all by his grace, giving your life a renewed meaning. That flow from the house of give giving people meaning for existence is a like wine, like honey and milk to the soul.

The devil says that come as you are (your corrupt self) and uses you (making you more corrupt, more like himself); Jesus says that come as you are and changes you (making you also more like him).

“The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you (Romans 16:24),” is one of the prayers in the bible, since grace it is, that enables you to replicate the life of Jesus.

The grace of God enables you to express the personality of Christ in real time, while the power of God enables you to express the dominion of Christ also in real time.

I used the phrase “real time,” because Jesus is perfect in his person but in real time, it takes faith to unlock that reality in our specific situation. That is why the bible says the just shall live (the life of God) by faith (Hebrews 10:3-39). Faith therefore links the absoluteness of the nature and power of Jesus Christ to a particular person in a particular period.

Therefore faith which means reliance on God must be our perpetual default mode for living in this world, fully representing Christ.

Every other person is condemned to a life of conformity to the sinful nature, under various guises since the only as the only source of grace is the house of God, `Jesus and by extension, the church which is his body. And they are sentenced to a life tine of satanic oppression except they come to the Jesus the house of God: Christ whose body is the church, to encounter the grace and manifestation of the power of God.

The church serves its highest purpose not when it has a larger television ministry or commands a large following, or segregates itself from other churches, or has a fluent pastor, or an educated one for that matter. The church must express grace and truth as the foundational outflows.

The bible says the church is built on the foundation of apostles and prophets with Jesus Christ as the corner-stone (Ephesians 2:19-22). The shape of the church is derived from the corner-stone, Jesus, and it is defined by grace and truth. Therefore, the measure of a church is based on these two qualities.

WordFromGod: help comes from above in form of grace and truth.
